Our next stop on the beach trip was Balboa Island. This was one of my favorite spots. 

We rented these low rider bikes and rode all around the boardwalk and into fancy

neighborhoods.

Last week my family flew me out for a Church/Lott family reunion in Orange County. The
reunion didn't start until Friday but we decided to turn it into a vacation and start on Monday.

I was excited to be there but sad because Steve had to work. We all really missed him. But, we
made sure he had lots of golf time while I was gone. We started our mini-tour with Laguna Beach.
Obviously, it was gorgeous. It's amazing how a little sun and sand can make everything happy.

the fourth

BBQs, sunshine, swimming, fireworks. does it get any better? As most of you already know, 

I love the fourth of July. This year we spent the weekend with friends barbequing hamburgers,

swimming and eating lots of watermelon. For the firework show, we went downtown to the capital

and had ice cream on our blankets. They had a live symphony synchronized with lights. A lot of

"ooing" and "aahing" was had. Happy Birthday America.
